To lead, coordinate and oversee the effective implementation of the policies established by the Board with regard to reserves administration and regulations on domestic credit.
To ensure the effective execution and settlement of foreign exchange and open market operations as ruled by the Presidency of the BCRA.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Buenos Aires and Universidad Nacional del Litoral, respectively.
Before joining the BCRA, he headed the Financial Area of Banco de Tierra del Fuego as from 2018. He previously served as Administration Manager (2016-2010) and Internal Auditor (2010) at Seguro de Depósitos SA. Moreover, he served as Deputy Manager of Control of Regulators and Public Services Companies (2006-2010), and as advisor to the General Auditor (2004-2005) at the Argentine General Audit Office. He worked as Undersecretary of Economy of the Province of Santiago del Estero (2005) and also during the federal intervention of that province (2004-2005). He was advisor to the Ministry of Economy of the Province of Santiago del Estero during the federal intervention (2004); to the General Auditor at the General Audit Office of the City of Buenos Aires (2003-2004); and to the Director General of Public Administration and Budget of the City of Buenos Aires (2001-2003).
From 2004 to 2005, he was alternate representative before the Council of the Fiscal Responsibility Law; representative before the Federal Council of Investments (CFI, in Spanish) on behalf of the Province of Santiago del Estero; and head of the Provincial Executing Unit of the CFI. He coauthored several papers, the most outstanding of which are as follow: “Bill and Regulatory Executive Order on the Procurement Regime of the Province of Santiago del Estero. Diagnosis, Theoretical Framework and Comparative Law” published by the CFI; “Bill and Regulatory Executive Order on Financial Administration and Control Bodies. Diagnosis, Theoretical Framework and Comparative Law (CFI)”; and “Quarterly Reports on Budget Management” and “Follow-up Manual of Quarterly Budget Management”, both of them for the City of Buenos Aires.
