Banks will continue to be open to the public over next week—from April 27 to April 30—at their regular operating hours. On the other side, clients will go on meeting the requirement of having an appointment before attending a branch.
Retirees and pensioners are exempted from this requirement, but they may only attend the bank on the day set by ANSES.
Clients may make appointments through any of the channels made available by banks (website, among others), and the tickets obtained will serve as a circulation permit and will be requested for entry into the bank.
At branches, both individuals and companies may make transactions such as:
Withdrawal and deposit transactions in pesos are still carried out through ATMs, self-service terminals, or other systems made available by the institution. In the case of large amounts of cash, whatever the activity, deposits or withdrawals must be previously agreed with the institution.
Banks are to ensure that financial service users may withdraw at least ARS15,000 per day—even in a single transaction, if users so wish—free of charges or fees, either for customers or non-customers, up to June 30.
Financial service users may also withdraw money at stores or withdrawal points, such as supermarkets, gas stations or pharmacies.
