Pesce Will Be at the Closing of the 2023 Money and Banking Conference

The President of the BCRA, Miguel Ángel Pesce, will participate tomorrow in the 2023 Money and Banking Conference. He will be at the closing discussion panel together with the following representatives from central banks: Beltrán de Ramón (Chile), José Cantero Sienra (Paraguay) and Ásgeir Jónsson (Iceland).

The Conference, entitled “Challenges for Macroeconomic and Financial Stability in the Current Context” will start with the discussion panel of the chief economists of the central banks of the region: Adrián Armas (Peru), Gerardo Licandro (Uruguay), Rolando Sergio Colque Soldado (Bolivia) and Germán Feldman (Argentina).

After that, two special lectures will be given. The first lecture will be delivered by Mario Cimoli from the Institute of Economics of the Sant'Anna Scuola Universitaria Superiore, Pisa (Italy), followed by Bertram Schefold, from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität, Frankfurt am Main (Germany).

The conference is open and free of charge. Interested people from all over the country will find relevant information (program and speakers' bios and topics) listed in this link. Prior registration is required for all attendees.

Like all other academic and outreach initiatives of the BCRA, the conference—organized by the Economic Research Deputy General Management Office—seeks to stimulate discussion on macroeconomic, monetary and financial topics. It is addressed to a wide audience, and to academics and policymakers, among others.
