The Board of the BCRA restricted credit card payments in installments for purchases made in duty-free shops, extending the prohibition in force to travel tickets abroad, tourist services abroad, and foreign goods received through door-to-door services.
Thus, financial institutions and non-financial credit providers are not allowed to finance their clients' purchases in installments regarding:
• Travel tickets abroad and other tourist services abroad (such as accommodation, car rental, etc.).
• Non-commercial foreign goods received through the postal service.
• Goods from duty-free shops.
